Cosmetology is in my blood.

I joke about a gene for it and if there is one, I definitely have it.

In high school, I did updos for formal occasions and whenever someone would let me cut, color or style their hair, I jumped at the opportunity. I also did fun things to my hair, believing I was my own best advertising and I was proven right repeatedly.

After high school, there was no doubt in my mind that my next move was Capri Beauty College of Cosmetology, where I learned all the pivot point basics of hair. I graduated early, ranked second in the class of 2000. During and after school, I interned at Doyle Designed, Robert Jeffrey, and Ulta. I learned a lot and hunger still for more knowledge and better techniques, having always believed that the best way to learn is to do. I did just that by working at a HairCuttery where I knew I could master Redkin color, perfect my timing and do countless types of cuts on people of all ages.

After two years in the corporate hair world, I was eager to branch out on my own. In 2002, I joined the creative team at the legendary Milios hair salon as an independent contractor. Many of the clients I cut and colored during my ten happy years there still rely on me to this day. I agree with Milios mantra: to give the client exceptional, quality services at an affordable price. (After all, how can one maintain their awesome look if it's too expensive for them to do so?) During my hair career, I have done on-site weddings, hair shows and had my work featured in New City, Reader and Time Out magazine.

Through the years, my passion to create a relaxed atmosphere for an affordable price motivated me to even open a little salon in my home. Now, I primarily work from home and enjoy delivering one-on-one attention to my clients, in order to really make them feel special and cared for. I also offer house calls for clients who can't make it to the salon because they have a little one, or because it's too far away, etc., etc. I am happy to bring the salon experience to you.

I have been a licensed professional for more than 15 years, I love styling all sorts of people's hair: cuts, coloring, updos, weddings... I'm here to make you look and feel great! I can't wait to begin our hair relationship.
